Bethan Bennett-Lloyd

Bethan's role is to encourage and support researchers from all disciplines in making successful grant funding applications for health research projects and to further their own research career development.

The grants team, comprising Bethan, an accountant and a facilitator, helps researchers in identifying potential funding schemes, drawing up costings in liaison with support departments and the university, providing institutional support statements and sign off, and ensuring contractual arrangements are correct. They will oversee your budget throughout the grant, and submit the necessary financial reports.

She is also involved in wider projects that support researchers across the trust and university such as developing a joint policy for fellowship holders, and working with the Southampton Charity and others on developing new funding schemes.

She works with the trust’s commercial, data and innovation teams, linking researchers and building on Southampton’s expertise in these key areas of research development.
