Communicating your research
Communicating well is key to getting research funded, done and used by others.
Our R&D communications team can support you in this. From templates and tools to opportunities for reaching a wide range of people. And our work with the university-hospital partnership helps share and publicise your findings.
Publication guidelines
Before submitting a research paper to a journal please read our Joint Partnership Policy and Guidance on Pre-clinical and Clinical Research Publications. Download a copy here: Documents, procedures and templates.
Where applicable please include the NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre and NIHR Southampton Clinical Research Facility in your affiliations.
Communication templates
We hold up to date, correctly branded and formatted templates for you to use. These include letterheads, posters and presentation decks. Download from Documents, procedures and templates.
R&D communications team
We can help you communicate with staff, patients and the public. Onsite, online and through others’ broadcast, print or events.
We also push news directly and via the university and hospital. We work closely with their press teams and deliver awareness of research opportunities and findings. Together we can get you the local, national or international press and media coverage that helps your research.
For study recruitment, we can provide a range of support including materials, advertising advice and targeted engagement.
